Fairview Parents, Students, and Families,
Beginning in January of 2019 I had the privilege of serving Fairview Elementary three days a week. I have worked for Newton County Schools for 22 years and this is my seventh year as a school administrator. Before serving as an assistant principal, I was a speech language pathologist for Newton County Schools. In my personal life, I am a wife and mother of four busy children (twin 9th graders, a 7th grader and a 4th grader).
As a leader, I am passionate about classrooms that are student focused and rigorous. I hope to be able to work with the teachers and students at Fairview to continue the great work happening here! I am excited to be working with Dr. Brunson again. I had the privilege of working with him in previous years at both Livingston and at Ficquett and I know what positive energy and fun he brings to his schools!
I am happy to be a new member of this community! I look forward meeting all of Fairview’s parents and community members! I believe that building solid relationships between school, students, parents, and the community is key to building a strong school community and providing successful learning experiences. I can’t wait to get to know each and every student at Fairview.
Thank you so much,
Kelly Walker
Assistant Principal.
