Purpose: On the Fairview Elementary Eagle Robotics Team, 4th and 5th grade students build robots with VEX IQ components. VEX IQ is a robotics platform designed to transform STEM learning for young students and their teachers. In the VEX Competitions, students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the community, state, country, and world in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments at held year-round at the regional, state, national and world levels.

**The 2025-2026 Robotics season is over for this school year.  Students interested in participating in the 2026-2027 robotics season should fill out an application in August of 2026 with Ms. Carter.**

Description of Planned Activities:
Robotics team practices will be held after school, one day a week, until 5pm. VEX IQ Competitions will be held at the Newton College and Career Academy in the Fall of 2026 and Winter of 2027.
